POST-PROCESSING
For look, feel, or performance
Choose from a variety of different finishing options that best fit your application.
AS PRINTED
FRESH Off the printer

Embrace the natural look of a 3D printed part. Parts typically include a coarse surface finish, with layer heights ranging from 0.75 – 2.25mm. This approach often results in the fastest, least expensive path to a finished part.
Machined
Smooth surfaces. Finer features

Achieve a smooth surface, or a final part with precision features by deploying a strategy the combines the best of both worlds. Many 3D printed parts can be made on the Tradesman Series ™ using materials that lend themselves well to machining, routing, or turning.
cerakote
For decoration or function

Apply a coating to your 3D printed part in order to protect or decorate the object – or both. For instance, 3D printed parts can demonstrate elevated wear resistance and a custom aesthetic by undergoing the Cerakote application, which is a ceramic-based coating process.
Metal Plating
Metallic traits, increased performance

You can even reap some benefits of metal parts by plating your 3D printed parts! Certain polymer materials are compatible with technologies, such as electroplating, that allow you to build a consistent metallic layer over top of your plastic printed part, like this copper – nickel alloy!
